Truly one of those you have to sing it at the top of your lungs kinda songs. I think this song is so relatable because many of us from so many backgrounds (row croppers daughter to city dweller) have that “shoulda been a cowboy” pipe dream. That desire to move to the wild, untamed land that is best for cattle ranching. The crazy idea to head west and pursue a life you know nothing about like people did in the olden days.
While we may not ever pursue that our own cowboy dream, may we always have the courage to pursue the ones within our reach and sing at the top of our lungs every time this song comes on.
